I’ve always had a passion for movement, be it running, playing tennis, soccer, or skiing. I bring this love of movement into all of my classes. I want my clients to leave my class feeling stronger and more confident than when they arrived. I love to teach and witness clients reap the rewards of their hard work. Using Functional Movement as scaffolding my classes, I teach classes that are physically challenging yet structural safe with simple moves that the average person is capable of doing. My classes are known for their intensity but also for their stretching. With every build-up of muscle work there is an equally satisfying stretch sequence to balance out and lengthen the muscles. I have training in several in barre styles, Power Pilates, many forms of TRX and I hold an advanced degrees in Health Policy (ABD) and an MBA. I am a certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well as a Board Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

Ally has been dancing for over 40 years. From jazz to ballet to hip hop, she found it all with SHiNE Dance Fitness. After dancing with SHiNE online for three years, she became certified as an instructor in August of 2022 and has been teaching this fun dance fitness format since then. SHiNE, based out of Idaho, brings original routines to life using hit music and is designed for all abilities. She love that it is a mood-lifting, full body workout that leaves you feeling confident, capable, and connected to a wonderful community. Nothing beats the feel-good mood you're in after a SHiNE class--it's hard to believe it's a workout! Give it a try!

To me, yoga is more than just a sequence of poses. It is a way of life. I initially started practicing because I heard it was a great way to build strength and become more flexible. I found those things and much more. What I gained was greater peace of mind, a tool to manage anxiety, a sense of well being, a supportive community, increased self confidence, connection with others, joy in vulnerability, and a profound spiritual practice. Yoga unites and connects. It meets us in our struggles and amplifies what is going right in our lives while giving us strength to handle what isn’t. It is a source of calm in a chaotic world. My goal is for my classes to challenge you and lift you up. I will ask you to look within yourself for truth and to your neighbor for support. I will lead you through breath, strong poses, and graceful movements, so you can then sit and hear the quiet wisdom of your own mind.
I completed my 200 hour training with Rolf Gates in 2014 and my 300 hour training with Jacqui Bonwell in 2018. I am certified to teach Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Meditation. I also have some additional certifications - Balanced Athlete Level 1 and am a Reiki Master and am currently studying to become a Certified Personal Trainer - which further inform my yoga instruction.
