If you are a 200-hour certified yoga instructor interested in delving more fully into the world of prenatal yoga, this 15-hour immersion training will prepare you to design, sequence, and teach effective, smart, and safe prenatal classes. Join us to deepen your knowledge, gain confidence, and connect with a supportive community passionate about empowering expecting mothers through mindful movement and care. Together, we'll explore anatomy, modifications, breathwork, and nurturing techniques that honor the unique journey of pregnancy. The Program

1 Training Weekend, 3 sessions, 15 Hours

Time Commitment: This program requires only 1 full weekend immersion, for a total of 16 hours. You must attend all 3 sessions.

Training Weekend: Saturday & Sunday 12:30-8:30PM. All the sessions are in person.

Payments: credit card or check.

PREREQUISITE: Completion of a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program.

LPY is a YA Registered Yoga School since 2014

LPY teacher training program is certified to meet Yoga Alliance’s standards. Students who complete a verified training with RYS LPY Yoga are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs).

What you will learn

  • The anatomy & physiology of pregnancy

  • Yoga’s view of the pregnant body and how this model differs from the western medical model

  • Myths surrounding prenatal yoga: which postures are truly contraindicated and why

  • Appropriate postures for a prenatal yoga practice and class

  • Modifications for different stages in pregnancy

  • Yoga solutions to common pregnancy aches and pains.

  • Meditation for both pregnancy and birth

  • Pranayama for a prenatal practice

  • Yoga practices for childbirth preparation

  • Prenatal class components and sequencing, including discussion of how to conduct “circle time” and foster community through open communication in class

  • Immediate postnatal yoga considerations and steps for reintroducing mom back to practice
