Jennifer Velis
Jen is a 500 Hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher since 2018. She completed both the 200-hour and 300-hour training within LPY.
Jennifer’s classes are high-energy, fun, and powerful, with plenty of humor sprinkled in. She loves to build a smart, thoughtful flow: starting with a strong warm-up, then gradually layering in strength work, balance, and peak poses. Jennifer provides detailed, step-by-step instruction to help students safely and confidently work toward each peak pose, so they feel both challenged and supported. Her classes are designed to be safe and accessible for all levels, with lots of attention to alignment and proper body mechanics.
A devoted LPY student since the day the doors opened, Jennifer completed both the 200-hour and 300-hour Lexington Power Yoga Teacher Training programs and has been teaching yoga for over a decade.
Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and is a strong believer in the mind–body connection. For over a decade, she has managed bodywork and acupuncture businesses, deepening her understanding of how essential movement is for keeping the fascial system of the body healthy and resilient. She believes yoga should be fun, not perfect—just like life: a little bit messy, full of learning, and always evolving.
