Nurture and Nourish:: A Prenatal Workshop to Prepare for the Immediate Postpartum w/ Mandy Mucci

  • 1762 Massachusetts Avenue Lexington, MA, 02420 United States (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Take time this pregnancy to plan for self care and healing movement in the first six weeks postpartum.

While we are often given very little guidance as to how to navigate this period, the immediate postpartum can be a transformational time of recovery, rest, and bonding with your new baby and yourself. This workshop provides you with essential tools to prepare for the first six weeks, focusing on gentle movement and healing practices that promote physical recovery and emotional balance. We will lay the groundwork for a nourishing postpartum experience, exploring options for preparation, support, and self-care.

You will leave with daily movement options that are gentle enough to begin as soon as you’d like post-birth, mostly done from bed, and all designed to support the specific needs of your postpartum body, regardless of your birth experience.

Additionally, we'll delve into essential preparatory measures for this often-overwhelming period, including healing techniques, strategies for building a supportive network, and meal preparation tips, ensuring you're ready to embrace the early weeks with your newborn with confidence and grace.

This workshop can be taken at any time in pregnancy.

Location: Lexington Studio

Time: Saturday, April 27th 2-4pm

Cost: $40

Use THIS link to purchase your credit for this workshop.

Workshops are non refundable. Up to 12 hours in advance we will issue a credit.

Prenatal and Postnatal Flow with Jillian McDonough and Lorraine Shedoudi

This workshop is for anyone who loves the vinyasa practice and would like to continue with this style when they are pregnant and after baby. Being able to find the familiarity of your mat and your flow while pregnant is extremely comforting! If you are or will be pregnant and want to continue your practice but it a safe way join Jillian and Lorraine for this workshop.

From Jillian "After having three very different pregnancies in four short years I had to learn how to modify my practice to fit my new ever-changing pregnant and postpartum body. I loved the flow I knew and wanted to continue with it instead of a more traditional style parental class but I wanted to do it safely."

From Lorraine, "I felt strong during my pregnancies and it felt important for me to continue with a powerful and empowering practice. I also wanted to make sure my practice was safe while remaining strong. I had to take the time to learn about modifications in order to continue my practice and I am excited to continually share all that I have learned. Yoga is the best tool I have had during pregnancy, labor and motherhood.
